Celeste is Making a difference for homeless and hungry dogs
Celeste’s dog, Moe, a great friend for many years died recently. With Moe passing Celeste, brought in Moe’s food and belongings to re-home and share with others at Milparinka’s who had dogs. This gives you a bit of an idea about who Celeste is, she is a kind and generous person who strongly values giving to others so that they are happy and ok. Celeste didn’t get a new dog, but she wanted was to stay connected with dogs in her life. Following Moe’s passing she wanted do something that made other people’s dog feel safe, happy and cared for. Because Celeste helps out with the SEEDs harvest donation to the Big Umbrella, who help provide fresh meals for people who do not have enough food, or dont have a home, she has some good mates at there who have often told her stories about how some of the people who they share meals with, have dogs in their lives.
Celeste talked to people here about that and came up with the idea of making and giving away homemade healthy treats for dogs, who with their owners, were homeless or who didn’t have access to enough food. Celeste bakes the dog biscuits, they are healthy, with peanut butter, oats and vege’s being the main ingredients. She then packages and delivers them to The Big Umbrella who distributes them to people and their pets.
Celeste is another young person doing something that brings some comfort and joy to people, and thier dogs, who she may never meet. Good on you Celeste.
